Blue in color, butterfly pea tea is a unique drink that has been popular in Cambodia these past few years. Usually, we drink condensed butterfly pea tea that has a blue color. Some prefer to drink lime butterfly pea tea which is purple in color. The taste is different in its own way, and it is pretty good. I am not too into sweet tea besides boba so like prefer lime butterfly pea tea. Give it a try and see which one you like the most.

Fruit Shake

My personal favorite, fruit shake aka fruit smoothie is one of the most common beverages in Cambodia that you should try. You can choose from a specific fruit that you like or a mixture of various fruits in one. Popular fruit shakes in Cambodia include avocado shake, banana shake, coconut shake, and mango shake. These smoothies are deliciously refreshing, and they could be something that you will love having here.

The taste of iced lemon tea is sour and sweet, and it is a great beverage on hot sunny days. You can buy a big cup of iced lemon tea in Cambodia for $0.75, and it tastes great.

The milk green tea that you’ve had is probably way different from the milk green tea in Cambodia. It is quite sweet but the taste of green tea is unique in a way that it energizes you. You can tell the seller to put less condensed milk if you don’t want it to be too sweet. Yes, we put condensed milk in our green tea and that is how it is different. There is always a menu of many options for you to see when it comes to milk tea. Simply choose the one with the color that you like, the taste is surprisingly good.

Milk Syrup

Here we have another cheap drink that uses condensed milk that you might like. The color of this street beverage is pink, resulting from the mixing of red syrup with condensed milk. It is very sweet because both the condensed milk and syrup are sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, this could be your next favorite drink. And if you don’t want it to be too sweet, you can always tell the seller to add soda.

This could be something that you have had before, but it is still worth trying here. With just Milo or Ovaltine with some condensed milk and ice, and your refreshing drink of the day is ready. In case you like drinking them back home, it is nice to explore the taste of the same beverage in another country. It tastes quite nice, and you can find it pretty much at any drink vendor here.

Passion Soda

Craving something a little sour? Then a cup of passion soda is something that you should go for. What makes it interesting is the soda because it elevates the taste of the drink to a different level. You get the best of both worlds because the passion is a little sour while the soda hypes the taste. And if you haven’t tried that yet, you definitely should give it a go.

Soy Milk

Common as a morning beverage, soy milk is very fresh and tasty in Cambodia. It is naturally made every day, and it tastes amazing either cold or warm. My favorite way to eat with soy milk is by dipping fried bread sticks into it. It tastes nice, and it is better when it is warm. We have white soy milk and green soy milk here, and you must try both. Soy milk here usually comes in a plastic bottle with a price of between 3000 Riel to 4000 Riel. The ones on the street are available but not as common as in the market. Take a trip to a local market and you will find one.

Sterile Milk Syrup

Sweet on sweet yet not too sweet, a cup of sterile milk syrup is perfect for a sunny day in Cambodia. If you are hot and sweaty, sterile milk syrup will be something that you will need. A lot of us here like to drink sterile milk syrup because of the extra energy that it gives. The good kind that is probably better than an energy drink, if I am honest. Maybe you like it, maybe you won’t, but you really should try.
